Do you regularly binge and eat too much for your body? Do you feel powerless around food? Do you believe that food gives you pleasure, although the reality is that it’s hiding a deeper pain? We develop unhealthy eating habits that can cause us pain as we get older. Unlike other addictions such as smoking, we need food to live. We are given treats as children, so learn early on that food is a reward. We learn to self-soothe with food, which fills an emotional void.
If we eat when stressed we trigger the release of hormones that naturally makes us feel more relaxed. Weight can be protection, additional armour for our bodies to prevent us in some cases from maintaining close relationships. There are many unconscious and emotional factors that keep the pounds from melting away. Hypnosis has been scientifically proven to help people lose more weight than those who do not use it. I’m also trained in the Gastric Band Hypnosis Technique for clients with a high body mass index.
Weight loss is not a physical challenge it’s a mental one.
