Therapy that works with the body, not against it
I’m Sarah Jons — a therapist working at the crossroads of psychology, somatic therapy, and the nervous system.
People come to me when life stops making sense, when talking alone hasn’t shifted things, or when their body is carrying more than words can reach. That might be anxiety, trauma, fertility, midlife change, or something harder to name.
My work is structured, relational, and body-based.
We slow things down, listen properly, and work with what the body already knows — not what should be happening.
Areas of work
Anxiety & trauma
For when the nervous system has learned to stay on high alert — even when life looks “fine” on the surface.
This work focuses on safety, regulation, and understanding what the body has learned to hold.
Fertility & reproductive health
For people navigating fertility, loss, hormonal change, or reproductive transitions — where emotions live as much in the body as the mind.
We work with stress, grief, identity shifts, and the pressure that often accompanies these experiences.
Breathwork
A body-based approach to awareness and regulation, using breath as a way to listen rather than force change.
This work supports nervous system flexibility and a greater sense of internal safety.
About me
I’ve been working as a therapist for fifteen years, supporting people through anxiety, trauma, addictions, fertility struggles, and periods of significant change.
My approach is rooted in brief therapy. When the body is used as the bridge — rather than relying solely on conscious analysis — it often becomes possible to access patterns and responses more directly, without needing to revisit everything intellectually.
Much of my work sits in the spaces where talking alone hasn’t helped, or where the nervous system has learned to stay on high alert. This includes work with addictive patterns, where the body often responds long before the conscious mind catches up. We work with what’s already present in the system, allowing change to happen without force or prolonged digging.
Clients often say the work feels different — particularly in how it helps resolve bodily sensations they haven’t been able to shift through talking alone. They value the effectiveness of the approach, and the absence of pressure to perform, explain, or “get it right”. We go at the pace the system can tolerate, and trust tends to build from there.
What people say
“I was asked to present to the whole company at very short notice and would usually have been dreading it. This time, I stood up and the fear simply didn’t take over. I was able to hold eye contact, speak clearly, and stay present throughout.
Shortly afterwards, I was promoted. It aligned with my annual review, and I’m certain the presentation played a role. I can’t thank Sarah enough for the shift in how I now handle situations like this.”
— Corporate Client, public speaking anxiety
“I used to dread the camera. After working with Sarah, I can stay calm, speak clearly, and not spiral beforehand.”
— Penny, TV Presenter
“Sarah was kind, attentive, and made me feel at ease from the outset. After three sessions, I continued to practise the breathing and visualisation exercises I learned with her.
In the cycle following our work together, I became pregnant. I continued using the tools throughout the early stages of a high-risk pregnancy to help regulate my anxiety and stay grounded.”
— Client, fertility support
“Sarah’s approach helped our ten-year-old son develop confidence and practical ways of coping with his stammer.
Throughout the process, we felt supported and reassured, and the work was handled with real care and sensitivity. I would recommend Sarah to any parent who is concerned about their child’s emotional wellbeing.”
— Parent, speaking anxiety
